Henry N. Ginsberg, MD, is Irving Professor of Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, New York, where he also serves as program director of the General Clinical Research Center and director of the Irving Center for Clinical Research at NewYork–Presbyterian Hospital.
A fellow of the Council on Arteriosclerosis and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Dr Ginsberg is a member of several professional organizations, among them the American Association of Physicians, American Society for Clinical Investigation, American Heart Association, and American Diabetes Association. Dr Ginsberg's recent research efforts have focused on the regulation of apoprotein B metabolism in humans and the relationship of insulin resistance with dyslipidemia and cardiovascular disease.
Dr Ginsberg is an editorial board member of the Journal of Lipid Research, Metabolism, Journal of Biological Chemistry, and Journal of Clinical Investigation. He is a reviewer for Circulation, The New England Journal of Medicine, Diabetes, and Atherosclerosis, among others. Dr Ginsberg has also authored or coauthored more than 170 peer-reviewed papers, invited reviews, and book chapters.
